"The brand new studio album from Pacific 231 - the long running project of Paris-born, Dublin-based artist Pierre Jolivet.
"Soundscapes Of Conflict" juxtaposes the roar of jet engines with more serene or harmonious elements; a contrast provoking reflection on the human cost of conflict and the resilience of the human spirit. The tension between sound as a source of beauty and expression and sound as a tool of destruction, recordings of machinery from war zones into musical compositions, using dissonance and discord to convey the chaos and brutality of war. Pierre started in the early 80's to perform as a French pioneer under the moniker of Pacific 231, in the industrial and power electronics art fields before moving into more ambient and abstract electronic sounds. His works now explores the very limit of sound."
